Today we had to find what a square number, factors, prime numbers and prime factors are.
What is a Square number (Perfect square)
A square number is a product of a whole number multiplied by itself.
Ex. 64 product of 8x8
What are Factors
Factors are whole numbers which divides evenly into a whole number leaving no remainder.
Ex. Factors of 16 are 1,2,4,8,16
What are Prime Numbers
A prime number is another whole number greater than 1 and that has only 2 factors 1 and the number itself.
Ex. 2 factors 1 and 2
What are Prime factors
Prime Factors are factors that are prime numbers.
Ex. 10 : 1,2,5,10
