Owen's %%%%%'s Rate Growing Post

For homework we had to make a Rate Growing Post.

Define Rate and Ratio:

Rate-compares two different quantities measured in different units.

Ratio-compares two quantities of the same kind.

What is the difference between Rate and Ratio:

Ratio compares two quantities measured in units.
Rate compares two different quantities and it is also measured in different units.

Pick a question:

11. Shannon buys 12 granola bars for $9.96.

a. Determine the price per bar. Give your answer in dollars and cents.

Answer: $0.83/bar

b. Explain whether your answer in part a) is a ratio or rate.

The answer in part a is a rate because the units are the not same kind that were used.

In order to find how much ingredients are needed to feed 10 people. You just need to multiply every ingredient by 2.5.

I divided 4 by 4 which equals to 1. Then i divided all of the ingredients by 4.
