Kenneth's Percent, Rate ,Growing Post

In Class we have to make 1 part for the weekend.

Ratio: Compares two different quantites

Rate: Compares two different measurements with different units.

What do the both mean?

Ratio is different then Rate because Ratio can compare different quantites that are related to eachother, and Rate is like for example when your jumping up and down you can feel your heart beating, when you touch your pulse you can feel that your beating fast and then your actually counting how many beats you have till it cools down.

Question 8 Page 60,

a)What is the unit price for each carton
of milk?
0.236 cents, 0.218cents, 0.199 cents

b) What is the unit price per 100 mL for
the l-L carton?
For 1-L Carton its 0.001 Cents or 1 cent

c) Which carton of milk is the best buy?
Explain why.
The small one because it costs 1 cent in unit price.

Question 10 Page 61,

Trevor rode his mountain bike 84 km in
3 h. Jillian rode 70 km in 2.5 h. Who is
the faster cyclist? How do you know?
First of all they both have the same speed.
Second If you divide 84 by 3 you get 28 and if you divide 70 by 2.5 you get 28 so yea they have the same speed.

Coin math Question: If you have 1000 coins in a jar and your putting a dollar each day, how much money in the whole year do you have now?
