How is rate different then ratio ?
-Rate compares 2 quantities measursed in the same untis ,but a ratio compares 2 quantites measured in different untis.

Gina earns $78.00 for working 6h. Asad makes $192.50after working 14h. Determine each persons unit rate of pay . Who has a greater hourly rate of pay ?

Gina= 13.00 $ per hr
Asad= 13.75$ per hr.
--Asad has more money that Gina per hr.

Trevor rode his mountain bike 84km in 3hr.jillian rode 70 km in 2.5 hrs. Who is the faster cyclist. How do you know?

Trevor: 28km/h
Jillian: 26km/h
They both cycled at the same speed.

2 1/2 medium onion diced
2 1/2 celery finely sliced
2 1/2 clove of garlic
35 oz can of tomatoes chopped
1 1/4 can of tomato paste
2 1/2 tsp parsley
3 3/4 tsp basil
2 1/2 tsp oregano
2 1/2 tsp sugar
1 1/4 tsp Worchestershire Sauce
1 1/4 tsp seasoning salt
2 1/2 bay leaf

2) What would the recipe look like if you had to only serve 1 person? Show your calculations and how i got this is i divided by 4 .

1/8 lb ground beef

0.375/7.5ml tsp of basil

1/4 bay leaf
