Noelle's Coin Math October 13, 2009

Hello everybody,

First I will talk about my estimate to how much money is in the jar.
Compared to my estimate the difference from my estimate to the exact amount was a difference of $58.

ESTIMATE=$100 American
ANSWER=$158 American
DIFFERENCE=$58

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW MANY COINS ARE IN THE JAR?
AMERICAN JAR

Money Rolls Value

Pennies 1 cent 2X4=8 $1

Nickels 5 cents 2X4=8 $4

Dimes 10 cents 2X4=8 $10

Quarters 25 cents 1X4=4 $10
28 ROLLS $25 =$100

Redone Table

MONEY ROLLS COINS IN ROLL TOTAL

1 cent 8 50 400

5 cents 8 40 320

10 cents 8 50 400

25 cents 4 40 160

REDONE- Means it's more exact.

MONEY ROLLS VALUE

1 cent 2 $1

5 cents 2 $4

10 cents 2 $10

25 cents 2 $10

1 dollar 1 $25

2 dollar 1 $50

MONEY ROLLS COINS/ROLLS TOTAL

1 cent 2 50/ 2 ROLLS $1

5 cents 2 40/ 2 ROLLS $4

10 cents 2 50/ 2 ROLLS $10

25 cents 2 40/ 2 ROLLS $10

1 dollar 1 25/ 1 ROLL $25

2 dollar 1 25/ 1 ROLL $50

370 TOTAL COINS

Now my conclusion says that there are 370 coins in the Canadian Jar.
