Today in class we did a lot of work that had to to with part-to-part ratios, part-to-total ratios and part-to-part-to-part ratios . Then Mr. Harbeck assigned us to make a scribe post about it.
Part to Part Ratios
- Green to Blue = 6:1
- Blue to Yellow = 1:4
- Red to Green = 6:6
- Green to Total = 6:17
- Blue to Total = 1:17
- Yellow to Green to Blue = 4:6:1
- Red to Yellow to Green = 6:4:6
- Blue to Yellow = 1:4, 1/4, 0.25 & 25%
- Red to Green = 6:6
- Red to Green = 3:3
Green : 6 divided by 2 = 3
The three questions !
- What would the ratio be for Green, Yellow to Total ?
- What would the ratio be for Yellow, Red, Blue, Green to total ?
- How would you write Green to Total in fraction, decimal and percent ?
Mr. Harbeck told us to re Bob our Bob post and talk about our mistakes on our test.
The mistakes I made on my test was not expressing the ratio in lowest terms and reading the question wrong even though the important things I needed to know was already highlighted.
Ex.
The ratio of the red cards to the whole deck is :
- I put in 2:4 instead of 1:2. I forgot to express the answer in the lowest terms.
