Connors' Ratio BOB Oct. 20, 2009

Part to Part Ratios
- Part to Part ratios compare 2 different groups of things from the same total.
Blue to Yellow
2:6

Green to Red
6:10

Yellow to Green
6:6

Part to Total Ratios
-Part to Total ratios compare one group of things to the total amount of all of it.

Red to Total
10:24

Yellow to Total
6:24

Part to Part to Part ratios
-Part to Part to Part ratios compare 3 different groups from the same total to eachother.

Yellow to Red to Green
6:10:6

Red to Blue to Yellow
10:2:6

Choose a ratio to do in a Ratio form, Percent, Fraction, and Decimal.

Yellow to Red

6:10

Yellow/Red = 6/10

6/10= 0.6

0.6 x 100 = 60.0%

Make an Equivalent Ratio

I am going to use the one I just used.
Yellow to Red
6:10 = 3:5

6/2 = 3
10/2 = 5

Three Questions for you to do.
1) What is the Red to Total in an equivalent ratio?

2) Make a Part to Part to Part ordering the colours of M&M's from least to greatest.

3) How many Part to Part ratios could you make if there were two more colours there?

This is my BOB scribepost.
Please comment.

BOB Continued

I made mistakes by not looking my work over and by not going back to questions that I didn't get.
I can fix that on future tests by going back to do the hard questions later and reading the questions very slowly.

Warren stopped 90% of all the shots. There were 30 shots attempted. How many shots made it in?
A picture frame has a Width to Length ratio of 6:8. If the Width of the photo is 10 what is the Length?

Please answer my questions for my BOB PART 2
