Draw a diogram to show how you could represesnt the cost of an item including with or without tax.
Question #1
$ | %
100 | 100
106 | 106
The item is $100 and if the tax is $6 it would be $106 so it is
$100 x 1.06 = $106
Question #3
Kyle says that a population increases of 15% on year follows by a increase of 10% the next year is the same as a population increases of %25 over two years. Is Kyle correct? Explain your reasoning.
Kyle is not correct the population would be greater if it increased by 15% then 10% If it increased 20% it would be less.
Increased by 15 then 10
Starts at 1000.
# | %
1000 | 100 x1.15
1150 | 115
1150 | 100 x1.10
1265 |110
