Hey Guys and Girls, for scribe today all we had to do was show 3 questions from class today.
Question 4 (page 148)
Chris purchased the following items:
2 Binders for $4.99 each
1 math set for $3.99
a backpack for $19.99
find the toal cost inculding 5% GST and 7% PST.
So i started by adding all the subtotals together
$4.99+$4.99+$3.99+$19.99= $33.96
5%+7%= 12%
$33.96x 1.12= $38.04
Question 4 (page 150)
How many hundred grids are needed to show each of the following percents?
A) 101% = 2 hundred grids
B) 589% = 6 hundred grids
C) 1450% = 15 hundred grids
Question 10
What is the cost for four tires that sell for 85$ each, plus 5% GST and a 1.5 environmental tax?
first I found the total of 4 tires, which is $340.
Then I found the taxes by doing this:
$340 x 1.065 = ?
I used a calculator and got ...
$362.10 !

Good job with your use of colours, it makes your scribe pop. And also good job with your explanation. It was very easy to understand and you explained it really well. Next time you could add a few pictures to make your scribe a little bit better. But other than that, good job!!
Nicely done Noelle! Your post was clear and well explained. I also liked how you used a lot of colors in your post to make it look interesting. I would suggest you to maybe add some pictures to your scribe but besides that, I thought it was a nice job.

Good job noelle, there were nice colors there which made it look bright (:. you had mostly words to answer your questions, so what could help to give more of a brief understanding is adding pictures. For the question from page 148, like what ive mentioned to connors post you couldve instead of using .99 just add another dollar to make things easier but good job anyways.
