Scribepost for January 6th 2010

The question I chose to do is number 4 from page 110.

You want to find out the height of the pole where the guy wire is attached, to the nearest tenth of a meter.

The triangle isn't labeled as A,B,or C, my mistake.





c²-b²=a²
10²-2²=a²
(10x10)-(2x2)=a²
100-4=a²
96=a²
√96=√a²
9.8=a

Good job Binesi! Well yeah, the only mistake I found was that you didn't label the right triangle a, b, and c. But you figured that you forgot to label it. Well good job Binesi and keep up the good work! :)

Good job Binesi ! I liked the picture and how you explained it , but you forgot the a , b and c in the right triangle , but other than that it was good :)
