scribepost 01.06.10

Here's my scribe post for today. I'm doing question 8.

Shahriar knows that the size of a computer monitor is based on the length of the diagonal of the screen. He thinks that the diagonal is not as large as the ad says. is he correct? Explain.

The ad says " GREAT DEAL 42-cm monitor on sale!"

ANSWER:
a
²+b²=c²
25²+30²=c²
(25x25)+(30x30)=c²
625+900=c²
√1525=
√c
39.05cm

Shahriar
is correct. the ad was wrong. The exact length is 39.05 cm

sorry, no pictures.

PLEASE COMMENT :)

Good job Joseph! Nice explanation and formula, but I also second what Ralph said. Next time, you should add at least a few pictures to make it look better. Other than that, you did really good! Keep up the good work my friend. :)
