There are two formulas that you would use when you're looking for the surface area of a triangular prism, they are :
A= L x w
A= B x H / 2

Cylinder

When your looking for the surface are of a cylinder, you will need to know several formulas like:
A = L x W
r = d / 2
d = r x 2
C = Pi x d
A = Pi x r x r
