RATIO DEFINITIONS

two-term ratio,

three-term ratio,
part-to-part ratio,
part-to-whole ratio,

unit price,
and proportion,

Two-Term Ratio:

Compares two quantities measured to the same units written as a:b or a to b. 2:4 or 2 to 4.

Three-Term Ratio:
Compares three quantities measured in the same units, written as a:b:c or a to b to c. eg. 2:4:6 4 to 6 to 2
